It's Summer Time!
Ahh, summertime!

Here is an update on what's going on this summer!
Through out the month of June we are teaching free photography classes! These classes are for the Salt Lake County Library, check our website for locations and times! http://deepfocusstudios.com/workshops

Mini Portrait Sessions
This month, May 30 & 31 we will be having our mini portrait sessions again. These sessions will be held at Rose Sachs Gardens, a beautiful mountain side reception center.
$25 from each session will be donated to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, where 90 cents of every dollar donated is used to further the research to find a cure to the genetic disease that affects approximately 30,000 children and adults in the United States.

The Salt Lake County Library System has several programs that they provide to the public free of charge. I've been invited back to teach a few more classes this year. Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep
Last week I was notified that my application to become a volunteer photographer for the Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep Foundation was approved. I am both nervous and excited about this opportunity to help.The Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep Foundation (NILMDTS) is a network of almost 7,000 volunteer photographers in the United States and twenty-five countries. NILMDTS and all these volunteers "gently provide a helping hand and a healing heart" for families who loose a child before they even leave the hospital.
The whole heart of the organization it to offer a "gentle and beautiful photography service in a compassionate and sensitive manner". The soft, gentle heirloom photographs of these beautiful babies are an important part of the healing process. They allow families to honor and cherish their babies, and share the spirits of their lives.

Desktop Backgrounds!
This is something I've been wanting to do for some time now but just haven't ever put the time into it.

Introducing....
I'm always on the look out for great new things that I can eventually add to what's available for purchase. A few years back I found this fantastic album at a trade show named "The Wedding Book".
They quickly shipped me a demo album straight from Italy... Yes, I said Italy. These albums are printed and bound in Italy. They come in all different shapes and sizes. The pages are printed on a variety of papers including a metallic media. They are amazing, but ask to see the sample album so you know how amazing too!
